What is bitcoin? Bitcoin for beginners

I have set this page up for those of you who have never heard of bitcoin or wish to know more.  I am going to try and place everything you need to get started on this one page.  First, What is bitcoin... the video below does a good job explaining.


Now that you know more about bitcoin, let's get you started.  In order to accept bitcoins payments, or convert US Dollars to bitcoins, you need a wallet.  Coinbase is a great online wallet.  Just be sure to keep your password safe and do not lose it.  A pen and paper record of your password is the best option.  Click here to visit Coinbase and open your wallet.  (If you fund your account with $100 you will receive a $5 bonus through this link).
-  The coinbase site contains buttons that you can use on a website to accept payments. 
-  If you go under "account settings" (click your email in the top right corner)  you will find a tab that says "bitcoin addresses"  this is the address you will use to accept payments.  You can generate new addresses as needed on this page as well.
